In each sport there are different size, weights and class categories. The rules may vary somewhat in each division according to the length of rounds and time outs. In wrestling you learn all types of holds and pressure and pain points that get your opponent into submission. You will watch demonstrations of the proper form and methods, and by holding your arms and body in a certain position it allows you to slip out of their hold on you.
Watching some of the competitions can give you quite a show. As they compete with each other you get to see a variety of different methods. The mixed martial arts offers many different types, each country has it’s own form of the sport. It is a set of fluid graceful movements with kicks, spins and tumbling as they never take their eyes off each other. As they prepare for the competition they use a variety of props to practice with, and that gives them the speed and agility changing from hand to hand and around behind their backs. These can be poles or types of swords and other things. It is a combination of balance, skill and performed movements. Size and age doesn’t matter as long as they are dedicated and determined.
